Presented by Hampstead Synagogue. Our very special guest will be Olivia Marks-Woldman OBE who is Chief Executive of the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust and knew Sabina personally.
Sabina was a much-loved member of the Hampstead community and we are delighted that her family have agreed to this annual event in her memory. As someone who was very understated, many will not realise she was a Survivor with a profound philosophy that we now want to share. That is why the series will have the strapline “Embracing Difference”.
Olivia joined the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust (HMDT) as Chief Executive in February 2012 and has overseen the growth of Holocaust Memorial Day events around the country. She believes passionately that everyone, regardless of age or background, should know about the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution and the subsequent genocides. Before joining HMDT, she worked in a number of other charities, mainly in roles that involved political lobbying, policy development and stakeholder engagement.
