The recent BBC documentary, Louis Theroux: The Settlers, posed a number of challenges. In this short shiur, Rabbi Michael Laitner, the United Synagogue’s Director of Education, will explore the background to religious Zionism, look at whether we have an obligation to settle the Land of Israel today and if so, what are its boundaries, and the tensions of applying religious values in modern society.
